Guang Ping Yang Franciase AssociationThe selection and first meeting of the Guang Ping Yang Franciase Association took place in Valloire, France. on July 9. 1996. A vote was taken at the conclusion of the annual week long intensive seminar conducted by Fu-Tung Cheng, senior instructor at the Wen Wu School of Martial Arts in El Cerrito, CA. Eric Avisseau of Paris was elected by the Steering Committee to be President, Anne Troulay also of Paris, was elected Secretary and U.S. Emissary. The Steering Committee is composed of six other members: Noelle Thiernesse, Pier-Martine Fontaine, Eric Lelaquais, Catherine Mousset, Frederic Bogino, and Jean-Noel Calmels. The seminar is in its twelfth year of training in the Guang Ping Yang style of Tai Chi as taught by Fu-Tung's teacher, Grand Master Y. C. Chiang. Each year a different locale is chosen and this year it was held in the beautiful French Alps in the ski resort of Valloire. Dianne Goloff of the El Cerrito school in the U.S. also participated. The air was sweet, fresh, and invigorating, and everyone worked diligently for nine hours a day practicing and meditating.
